UTC@harbourside is a state school in Newhaven for 14-18 year olds from across Sussex interested in science, technology, engineering, maths and computing. We are currently accepting applications for September 2018.

Open Evening

Currently in year 9 or year 11 and want to find out what studying at UTC@harbourside is really like? Then come along to one of our open evening in January to meet with our Principal and teachers and have a tour of our award-winning building. Can’t make that day? STEM Saturdays

We want to help ALL students in Sussex perfect their knowledge in STEM. Exams coming up? Why not pop along to our GCSE revision sessions. No matter which school you currently attend, we welcome all young people to come together for the best revision tips and any help they may need in preparation for their GCSE’s.

Saturday 27th January, 10-12pm – STEM Saturday (Science)

Saturday 24th February 10-12pm – STEM Saturday (Maths) – Designed for year 11’s approaching their final 3 months before their GCSE’s. This revision workshop will cover key aspects of Algebra, Fractions and Ratio as well as including strategies for problem solving questions. Open to both year 11 and higher tier year 10 students.

Pizza & Pi Nights

Our Pizza and Pi nights provide hands-on experiences of what a career in engineering or science is like and the opportunities available in these areas, such as university, great jobs or running your own business. Please feel free to bring a friend along too.

Bring your mum or dad along, our Principal Ms. Umunna and our Governors will be presenting all the information you will need to start in September. If you are revising for GCSE’s, don’t worry. There will be a student induction evening on the 6th July. If you are able to come to this event, do let us know how many people you are bringing with you so we can make sure we have enough pizza!
