Our courses are designed for young people who want to work on local projects and make a real difference to their communities. You will receive personalised support as each group is made up of a small number of students, meaning that you will benefit enormously from the individual attention provided by your subject tutors.
Technical Skills Centre courses also offer:
- Apprenticeship places for successful graduating students with our Sponsor Partner – KSD Support Services
- Access to top construction companies and developers through out “Brighton Educational Construction Consortium”
- Exclusive small training centre with outstanding facilities and working environment
- Opportunity to be part of the exciting regeneration of Newhaven.
You will benefit from not only being part of a small college but also from the opportunities brought by the UTC’s links with Brighton and Portslade Aldridge Community Academies, as well as our sponsor the University of Brighton. Our link with the Aldridge academies means you will have access to their exclusive football academies which are partnered with leading local football clubs Burgess Hill Town and Whitehawk.
By working alongside employers you learn about the skills and qualities that businesses value. Work experience and engineering projects give you the opportunity to develop these skills, get feedback from employers and establish your credentials as a future employee. You will have gained first-hand experience of real careers in electrical installation or plumbing and this will give you a real advantage when applying for a job.
