Professor David Timson is Head of the School of Pharmacy and Biomolecular Sciences at the University of Brighton. His role is to lead the School’s teaching and research activities.  He is supported by a team of assistant and deputy heads, technical managers and the school administration manager.

Professor Timson is a biochemist whose research has focused on understanding of protein structures and functions. Currently he is working on inherited metabolic diseases and pathogen proteins. He also has interests in modifying proteins for use in biocatalysis.
